about

Eclipse Waltz by Robbie Leask

Written an hour before the solar eclipse on 20th March 2015. Having been raised by a dad who was a keen stargazer and member of the Royal Astronomical Society, this was always going to be an important event to share with him. It was a poignant moment given his failing health. This tune brings to mind thoughts of shadows, slockit sunlight and renewal.

Minnie o Shirva’s Cradle Sang

A soothing traditional song recorded from James J. Laurenson from the island of Fetlar. Minnie o Shirva was a single woman who acted as a local midwife.

lyrics
